Permanent and temporary installations
The Drop (2025)
Permanently installed since July 2025 at Alsverjø land in Sweden - in an area nearest to Malmo, a Naturesarvat or ‘Nature Reserve’. Over time, you can see how the work has begun to change slowly, forming a soft patina and in a way, merging with the environment.
Flower Power (2026)
Installed temporarily at the Maker Faire in Hannover, Bogota Broedplaats (Halfweg), and will be shown during MuseumNacht at Noorderhof Buurwerkplaats November 7.
This kinetic sculpture was made using recycled car parts, welding steel pipes and programming sensing cameras, so that the flower responds in real time, opening and closing in response to people as they approach.
The work is a retaliatory, a feminist sculpture ‘Nature’s revenge’. It was built in response to rapid militarization of Europe, driven by increeaseed NATO spending and EU defense invsestments, projected to significantly increase fossil fuel consumption and emissions. It’s about vulnerability, fear, protection, and it’s about our environment.
What’s happening in the world is grotesque, the world is on fire - and this work reflects that. As do the materials Bibi has chosen. The work is fierce, and at the same time, a Flower indicates renewal, peace, and new beginnings flourishing.
The work can be set up in a day, has full NEN-Certification for Europe, and Bibi is now considering events for 2027.

Green Car (2024)
A car frame made from recycled bicycle frames, permanently installed and growing at Amsterdam's Marineterrein.(2024-Current)
Bibi Jordan collaborates with those living in the neighbourhood to see the Green Car naturally growing over the years. Her idea was to transform one car park space to build on what it was designed for – with a twist: Replacing a parked car with a planted car.”
The living car sculpture is representative of growing out of convenience culture and creating new types of intimate, shared spaces. In the 5m x 2.5m parking space I have grown a range of plants into the shape of a car, creating an enclosed seating area with weaving, binding and shaping to mimic the environment of an automobile: complete with seats, a foot pedal or two and soft, mossy interior.
The artwork heightens the connection between humans and nature while playfully rethinking the capitalist cliche of ‘car culture’, think of the ‘drive in movie’ or ‘makeout point’ for example – not to mention the wind in your hair! The sculpture invites people to experience this in a fresh way.
A hybrid of living sculpture, topiary and biophilic design, I have planted a series of saplings (in consultation with Marineterrein gardeners) that I have woven and intervene with to grow in-shape.
Using shaping methods that constrict the direction of branch growth I have form the chassis and body of the car. By manipulating the growth process/interlacing stems, weaving branches and saplings and joining with wire, I’ve managed to frame the shape in the form of a car. Now, the community becomes more involved, and we look to use smaller species such as bonsai, mosses, and roots to form carpet-like material, for coverage and comfort of the interior.
